Iceland in summer
It’s hard to believe it, but we are already coming up on the tail end of summer. August is upon us, and with it will come the start of football season, school and the countdown to fall. And while we continue to stock up on autumnal fashion thanks to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (amen), we also have to give a shout out to the month that was. Here’s a look back at July, from our behind the scenes view…

Nicole kicked off the month hosting her first ever cookout (talk about adulting)! And since it was the Fourth of July, it of course came complete with patriotic cheese plate. Then she had us drooling over Paris Couture Week fashion too.
Kaitlin made the big move back to Chicago, this time with baby in tow! And with her new family, she also made a new home thanks to some beautiful and inventive decor DIYs (some prettier than others…we see you lamps)
She got lots of these fun pieces on a budget thanks to sites like Craigslist, so be on the look out for tips on how to shop for affordable home decor coming soon.
I led a pretty good life for the last 30 days. First I went frolicking with The Intercontinental Magnificent Mile in Chicago, planning a fun and easy girls weekend. The hotel room is still something I dream about (and gave me that very attractive OMG WOW face)
Then I hopped on a plane to Iceland for a vacation full of hikes, glaciers, waterfalls and delicious seafood. It’s being marketed (very well I might add) as the perfect long layover location on trips to and from Europe, and there are now easy direct flights from cities including Chicago. But after my trip, I have to say…it’s sooooo much more than a stop along the way! Beautiful and welcoming and adventurous, I’ll be breaking down the places to see, explore and eat on the blog soon.
And last but not least, Miss Ali put us all to shame with more work outs, clean eating and all the things I put on my to do list every week…and then get too tired to do. She never gets tired of finding quick and (semi) easy ways to whip your bod into shape, and has a ab-blasting piece with the Chicago Health Club & Pool coming soon.
