It’s midway through April, May is fast approaching, and with no snow in sight, even I have to admit that bikini season is practically upon us. That realization has startled me to hit the gym even harder than I did the day after New Year’s. We can no longer be in denial, but there are some easy adjustments we can make to accentuate our abs and tone those tooshes before we bear them for all to see. I hit up the experts to get some inspiration on how we can optimize fitness and fun into a killer regime to ensure we’re bikini ready for that first frolic at the beach.

Just in case Lux & Concord didn’t love this workout enough, Donna Cennamano, a coach at Flywheel Sports allowed us to pick her brain on how she stays in such impeccable shape. “Focus on protein-rich foods that will fortify muscle and keep you fuller longer,” said Donna. She recommends colorful foods, and likes to focus on adding veggies to most meals. Try this Lentil Tempeh and Sweet Potato Chili recipe for a lo-cal & protein-packed meal that tastes as good as it sounds!

3. Drink All The Water

Donna really emphasized the “ALL” when she provided this tip. You’ve heard it before, but water is a major proponent for your health- it keeps hunger at bay, helps your metabolism and clears up skin. People are constantly asking for a miracle health drug, and here it is: water. DRINK IT.

4. Get Behind A Cause
